What to do in Naples, NY

Naples is located at the bottom of Canandaigua lake. The scenic drive down to this part of Canandaigua is an experience in of itself. The beautiful tree covered mountainous hills around the bottom of the lake are breathtaking.

Naples is known for Grape Pies

Naples has a Grape Festival which happens every year to celebrate the harvest of grapes used in wines and pies in the region. Grape pie is a favorite in Naples and at the festival there is a contest for who can make the best grape pie.

Cindy’s Pies

Monica’s Pies

You won’t miss it on your way into town. Just look for the giant sign with the grapes. Monicas pies are some of the best tasting homemade goodness and the shop is open year round so you will not miss having a grape pie. Monica has more to offer than just grape pies too. There are several other homemade pie flavors available along with jams, jellies, conserves and other gifts.

Just past Monicas pies before getting into downtown Naples you could also visit Cindys Pies. If you cannot make it to the Grape festival to have the best grape pie in town do not panic. Cindy is here to help. Imagine a hot fresh steaming pie on a windowsill. It is like that. Who has the best pie? You will just have to stop at both pie places to find out.

Grimes Glenn

A shallow creek with high cliffs make up the beautiful sights of this park. You can plan to hike the trail along the creek but to get the full experience I recommend water shoes or high rubber boots and actually walking through the creek. The creek is shallow with hardly any deep areas. The rocks can be slippery so less nimble hikers might want to consider the trail along the creek instead. Not too far from the entrance, about 0.5 miles there is a really gorgeous waterfall about 60 feet high. Then about 0.25 miles past that is another waterfall.
